Starbucks is marking National Coffee Day with a new addition to its menu. The Aerocano arrives today, September 29th, as a slightly different take on a familiar iced espresso drink.

The Aerocano is made with Starbucks Blonde Espresso that’s air-whipped to create a light layer of foam and a cascading effect in the cup. Starbucks describes it as a modern take on the Iced Americano, so don’t expect pumpkin spice-level reinvention here. It’s essentially espresso, water and a little aeration doing the heavy lifting.

Starbucks is also rolling out three Mini Pies today in Apple Crumble, Pecan and Pumpkin flavors. Those are seasonal, while the Aerocano is joining the regular menu.

It may not be the most indulgent way to celebrate National Coffee Day, but for anyone who likes their coffee relatively uncomplicated, that might be exactly the point.
